I was perusing a seed catalog recently and I saw a blurb about seedless watermelons. Then I thought about it for a second..."um, exactly how do seedless watermelons get seeds?"
Then I noticed they were GM seeds (genetically modified). Ugh. Figures.
Anyway, I was Googling it to figure out and I saw this cartoon and it made me laugh because it's exactly how I felt when I saw the picture in the catalog, ha.
Enjoy your laugh for the day!

Lol...I have thought this exact same thought before! Talk about taking the power of planting our own watermelons out of our hands! I personally enjoy having to "bother" with seeds while eating my melons :-) I also enjoy being able to plant a few of those seeds in the garden as an experiment...
ReplyDeleteHa, glad to know I'm not the only one. And I'm with you, I think melons, especially watermelons, need seeds to enjoy the whole experience. :-)
