Hey hey! Another week has gone by. Can't believe we're almost in November.
Sometimes, when we just want a lite lunch or dinner, we have our own little charcuterie tray with whatever we have on hand. I know at two of the grocery stores I frequent, they have a basket in their cheese department with the bits and small pieces for "$5.00 and under". We figure it's a great way for a) portion control and b) to explore different cheeses without paying the expensive price (good if we don't like one).
I bought three on this day and put it together with some crackers, sunflower seeds, dates, pickles, jam and turkey bacon. So yummy! In this case, we loved all three of these, 2nd Man said the lemon/honey would be amazing with a lemon shrimp pasta dish.
And time for DARWIN!
Look at that face. Yeah, we're hooked.
He's growing up fast! 6 weeks old now. Still on the bottle but we're trying to transition. We still remind ourselves that being a preemie, he's about a week behind normal development. We like to say that he's thinking "but I'm just a baby....."

Love different cheeses and crackers but my evening snack is celery and peanut butter. In love with that little kitty. Grew up on a farm and we always had kittens in the spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks, he's a pistol for sure, ha.
DeleteOh my goodness! Darwin is just the cutest! (Says the mama to 10 kitties!) 🥰
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Baby Girl?
Judy in California
Lots of questions about her, she is fine, we need to not neglect her time on the blog either. She's an outside kitty and is perfectly content to be that way. She gets lots of love too.
DeleteThe basket of bits and pieces of cheese is great for your charcuterie tray. With all the other goodies, it all looks so tasty.
ReplyDeleteDarwin is so adorable. That is such a cute picture of him.
Thanks, sometimes we just want to eat simply but hey, why not make it look good while you do it, ha. And yep, he's adorable.
DeleteI'm curious as to where Babygirl is, as well! Has she disappeared or does she still come for food? She was too young to be a Momma!
ReplyDeleteLittle Darwin and that face and ... oh, baby ... what big eyes you have! How could you NOT love that little package of gray fur!
She is good, she is living her best life outside, she has zero desire to be inside and, at least for now, probably best to stay that way until he's more mature. But she still gets lots of love too. And he does have us wrapped around him, ha.
DeleteMe three wondering where's Baby Girl?
ReplyDeleteAlso how is it that there are three Marcias that comment on this blog? Two of us here today!
I believe I'm that third Marcia -- I think we all must be from the same generation! I know there were lots of us when I was in school 60-odd years ago.
DeleteGlad to see that wee Darwin has his household staff wrapped around his paw! And now I want some charcuterie....
I'm probably the only Marcia who goes by "Mar-see-ah" and not the usual "Marsha"!
DeleteI don't really want to, but growing up on the Brady Bunch...I have to say it: "MARCIA, MARCIA, MARCIA!" lol couldn't resist. Hi to all of you. Side note, I have a cousin who is named Marsha. She's in her 60's. Popular name.
DeleteAs for Babygirl, she is definitely still an important part of our lives, I will get pics of her. She was "helping me" in the garage this past weekend while I cleaned stuff out to be hauled off.
Oh, and for those wondering, she (Babygirl) has an appointment next week to be spayed. Taking her in on a Thursday and then I'm taking off Friday so we can be there to keep an eye on her while she recovers for a few days. Updates on that as it happens!
DeleteThanks for filling us in about Babygirl. Hope the spaying goes well.
DeleteDarwin is absolutely adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, he is for sure. Turning into a little devil but isn't that what they do? ha.
