I'd say either your peach tree has gone back to it's rootstock or it was never a Florida King to begin with... Since you couldn't let it ripen naturally, that could influence its appearance. I googled this variety and it's a a low-chill, early-fruiting variety that is good for the coastal Gulf area, so it should do great at your Farm. Not for certain, but I think the seed of a nectarine is much darker than that of a peach.
