But I'm sure the family appreciated it knowing how you garden and cook! Aren't they pretty though, all lined up in a row with different colors? So much prettier than "cans". 1st Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04861609647607912193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-10961822947630276022012-09-08T21:35:12.901-05:002012-09-08T21:35:12.901-05:00I hear ya. Interesting thing I noticed! In the Donna Reed-esque picture she has black pull down shades in front of her shelves. Remember when you put in all those shelves in your pantry, use lots of support, jars of food are heavy! :O) Honeyman beefed up the support on our pantry shelves last year as I was worrying after reading a gals blog post where her shelves of jarred goods gave way and went crashing to the floor...Texanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14560812716080117867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-87574794827567873612012-09-06T11:40:11.363-05:002012-09-06T11:40:11.363-05:00And lord--don't you just LOVE that apron ???? I wish mine looked anything like that! lol

I have a lot, but my pantries (2 walk-in closets) are a disheveled mess that needs cleaning up in the worst way. I'm getting on it though, really I am. Especially since one of the homework assignments this week for the Food Storage and Preservation class (Sharon Astyk) I'm taking online is to inventory the pantries.

I'll dream of this one though--thanks!Akanniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00513632434353119491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-81501729877958190732012-09-06T11:27:34.200-05:002012-09-06T11:27:34.200-05:00I thought I could do food preservation like this, ...I thought I could do food preservation like this, but I can't seem to get around to it. My Mother canned. My aunt still does. And, today, visiting me, was my cousin's wife, who has basement shelves that look a lot like those in your picture. Of course, I had a big family to feed then, with four kids still living at home. Now I have a small house, no basement, and only two of us to feed............but I still love the looks of all of the jars of food lined up on any shelf that happens to be available for use!Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-22773633595076345332012-09-06T08:51:06.235-05:002012-09-06T08:51:06.235-05:00My pantry isn't even close to that big.
