The are on racks in front of the only 2 areas I have that get sun.

I do however have an Aero Garden that I grow my herbs in all winter. My standard house plants are all in hanging baskets.

I would however be careful with those nice retro containers however if there is no way for the soil to drain. It is imperative that a container can drain or you run the risk of loosing the plant to rot.wildernesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03527833260038141710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-73558469813441785402011-11-29T12:41:42.767-06:002011-11-29T12:41:42.767-06:00I love this ideal. Just a narrow shelf, maybe painted the same color as your window trim, and you have an automatic windowsill for plants! Hmmm, now I might have to rethink our windows...thanks for the suggestion!1st Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04861609647607912193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-87831578273166377232011-11-29T09:22:16.449-06:002011-11-29T09:22:16.449-06:00If you don't have windowsills you can always m...If you don't have windowsills you can always mount a narrow shelf with decorative brackets.Tonya @ My Cozy Little Farmhousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12289024681312440621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-27260297075474064442011-11-28T20:40:11.226-06:002011-11-28T20:40:11.226-06:00Kelly - What? We have the one that would work best, the kitchen window. Only down side is it's a bit shaded, being on the porch but it might be enough. We'll give it a try.1st Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04861609647607912193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552387675026716797.post-62789815959610904322011-11-28T19:04:09.831-06:002011-11-28T19:04:09.831-06:00Wish I had windowsills to do this with.
