The type that hangs over a kitchen island and has hooks that you hang pots and pans from. Yes, I think they would be unstable, too. However, as towel racks, they would work with brackets. Or, you could use them to hang towels on to dry after laundry is done and instead of dryer or the hang clothes on hangers to dry. The possibilities are endless.
