Sigh...someday. Two chairs (great color on them), lots of flowers and a picket fence on top of it all! We love this look...formal in a way, but still somewhat random. Yes, we know, lots of work, but hey, when we get tired, we just need a couple of chairs to sit in and admire the work, right?
We kind of like the idea of sectioning off an area in the yard with a fence and using that as a guide for flowerbeds. Right now they yard is just wide open (and empty) space around the house. Might be a way to create "rooms" as many of you have suggested.
Be inspired!
this is wonderful! an Adirondack chairs are sooooo comfortable!
ReplyDeleteI've never had one but we want some at the farm. I've only briefly sat in one at a store or similar.
DeleteI like the idea of outdoor rooms also, but I never get around to creating them. Hope springs eternal and this is the year I am going to tackle the grounds at the lake.
ReplyDeleteHa, I can relate. Our Spring was put on hold because of the rains for weeks at a time. Hope springs eternal next spring, ha!
DeleteI like that fence with its wavy top. A welcoming spot.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that, very cool. I like the word "welcoming' that is so true.
DeleteVery pretty! Love those blue chairs against the green sprinkled with color!
ReplyDeleteSeems to be planted with mostly evergreen shrubs, heirloom or Knockout roses, bulbs, and perennials - you can enjoy it without constant planting.
the blue is a great contrast for the flowers and natural color. Thanks for the info!!
DeleteBeautiful setting; quiet and peaceful and Oh, so relaxing.(personal note: wish our yard looked like that but ours cracked up)
ReplyDeleteThe farm had cracked ground, until THIS weekend, i'm sure those are gone now. Hope you are not flooded but getting rain.
DeleteThat looks so calm and peaceful. I love it.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? Sigh. Someday....
DeleteThis is the type of space I imagined for you, when you asked "what do we do with this empty space" after you cleared out all that brush and dead trees. Have you figured out what you are going to do with that space yet? M
ReplyDeleteNothing yet, funny you mentioned I have a post coming up about that. We let it fill in with grass...to kind of see what it looked like, now comes the planning. Stay tuned!
