Found this awesome quilt (new but 'looks' old) at a thrift store. It had never even been used, still in original package with tags still attached. We took it out to the farm and put it on the guest room bed and it looks perfect. It has the colors of the room and some flowers to boot, all wrapped up into one great looking quilt. Best of all? $12.00!

ReplyDeleteI'm a regular at a thrift store that has 50% off for seniors on Wednesdays. This week I got a beautiful twin size lacey hand crocheted afghan for $3. They don't even ask me if I'm a senior (I am). That could be depressing, but the thrill of the savings makes up for it.

Isn't it fun? And me too, I love seeing a blog where someone else finds something and I go "wow, I would have loved to have found that!" Down here, they do have some days where they put certain things on 50% off for everyone, like maybe 50% all housewares, or 50% off blankets and linens, things like that. I'm not sure what the senior cut off is but I'll be there soon enough, ha.
