It's here! It's here!
Yes, we're excited. It's time for SHARK WEEK on the Discovery Channel.
This is the 25th year (dang, that makes me feel old)!
Sure, we have a farmhouse on rural land far that's away from any large body of water, and certainly far away from water with Great White sharks. I don't know what it is, but we are utterly hooked on this 'week of shows' year after year and fascinated by this majestic (and yes, scary) animal.
It starts tonight, and continues nightly over the next week.
Oh my gosh, my husband and I LOVE shark week every year. We set our DVR to remind us. I thought we were the only one who were crazy for sharks, ha.
ReplyDeleteI think we've watched every shark week for at least the last 10 years, and I know I watched it when I was younger too. It's fun learning about these majestic creatures.
DeleteOh you're not alone either, we're crazy for it too! I actually write it on the calendar where the rest of the year we have the kids after school activities, ha. This is afterwork activities for Mom and Dad. :)
ReplyDeleteHa, that's too funny! At least it doesn't coincide with school year stuff. Soccer practice or Air Jaws? LOL!
DeleteI've never seen any of those shows but a week ago did see the Discovery building here in MD decked out in honor of that series. Check out my first photo of this posting. http://birdsbloomsbooksetc.blogspot.com/2012/08/washington-dc-memorials.html
ReplyDeleteDon't you love it. They had the dorsal fin coming out of the top of the bldg and fins coming out the side. I couldn't capture it all in my photo and besides it wasn't the subject of the post.
Enjoy your series!
Oh my gosh that's SO cool! Everyone check out the photo (as well as Marcia's wonderful blog). That's neat...hmm, I'm wondering what an inflatable shark head on the side of the farmhouse would look like? LOL!
