SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO THROW CAUTION TO THE WIND...

...and just do it.

First you create it...

Then you study it from all directions...

You look at it one last time...

You get it ready...

And then just like that, it's nothing but a fleeting memory...but at least you have a full tummy!

    1. Um, I'll have to look for it. It's around here somewhere, I'm sure of it. ;-)

  3. That's how I feel about the fresh apple pie I have cooling on the counter. It looked too good for generic ice cream, so I just went to the store for some good vanilla. I really would like to skip dinner and eat pie!

    1. I'm not so much of a sweets like that (except for the cracklike cookie butter I blogged about but I digress) anyway, I do like it on occasion and this was a great occasion. Celebrating Friday, ha. Tell J I'd make one just for him and one for 2nd Man, and then you and I could just have a few slices of another one, ha.

    1. Ha, I totally understand. I did this at a class I was at where we all got to make our own and this was my creation. I'm going to attempt it myself now that it all looks and feels "familiar" to me, as soon as the weather cools down a bit more. It's a red delicious apple that we dipped into some caramel, then put that in the fridge for a bit and they had melted down chocolate of all types, so I used milk chocolate and the rolled that in walnuts. They said I was supposed to chop the finer but I rather like the way it came out. Then I just drizzled of the melted white and dark over the top and sprinkled on the colored sprinkles. It was pretty easy actually but of course i didn't have to melt it all down first. But I'm going to try! Photos as soon as i do!! :-)

    1. Awww thanks! Sometimes it's worth a little caution throwing huh? One of my coworkers said I should sell them, ha. Alas, I didn't create something new, I'm sure there are much better versions out there.

  8. Did you actually eat that whole thing yourself? I know I could about right now. I will have to try this. I still have apples from our trees that would just love to be covered in caramel and drizzled with chocolate and walnuts. Oh my, but that is really pretty cool.

    1. Well two of us did, over the course of an afternoon/evening, ha. It was really easy but as I said, we already had someone else have the caramel melted and the chocolate and all that. That always makes it easy, ha. Good luck, I'd LOVE to make it with "real" apples fresh from my own tree!
