GIFT OF A PICNIC BASKET

Wicker picnic basket
A very sweet friend of ours (the one who is doing some sewing for us) surprised me with this picnic basket at dinner the other night!  She had heard me mention once that it was something we didn't have and with 7 mostly undeveloped acres to explore, a picnic at the other end of the property sometime might be fun to do.

So what did she do?  She went out and found one for us!  Very thoughtful!

Now what to put inside?  I guess a couple of plates, cups and some utensils for sure, and then leave room for storage containers full of food.

    1. Well you already have the teal towel! I recommend some nice melamine dishes (Target has some really cute ones), heavy duty plastic tumblers and grab some orphaned silverware. You will need an oilcloth or old quilt to sit on. And don't forget a thermos or two.

    2. Dang, I missed all these comments to reply to! I think I got behind somewhere. Catching up now. Yes, absolutely she will be invited sometime. And Tonya, oilcloth is a great idea. I always like that stuff and it looks so retro. Will check out Target, thanks!!!

    1. Hahaha!! You know The Wizard of Oz is nothing more than women fighting over shoes. And they were unfairly labelled as witches ;-)

    1. Thank you! And definitely won't forget that. In fact, have a really cool wind bag I found once upon a time. I need to blog about that. :-)

    1. I love to explore. It's not like it's ginormous, maybe 7 acres are undeveloped but you never know what you might find. I'm always looking for a new plant or flower that I never saw before.
