SENDING LOVE TO MYSTIC MUD FAMILY

One of the blog families we follow is grieving the loss of their littlest man.  The family has shared every intimate moment of Finn's short but valiant fight for life, and we are moved to tears by his loss.

Please join us in sending love and prayers their direction.

Rest in peace little Finn...

  1. The beauty and heartbreak of this journey is unequaled and has been shared by so many of us. A great lesson and gift of love and sorrow. Rest gently, our beautiful tiny Finn. We all must release you unto the hands of the Master. You did well, Little Guy. So very well.

May we all now turn in support of Finn's grieving family. Their burden is heavy and we can share at lightening it in the days to come.

  2. I just spent an hour reading back through their posts (and shedding some tears myself). What an amazing family and what a difficult choice to make. Will send them much love and healing energy.

    1. I won't allow a negative comment when it is posted behind an anonymous user id. There have been non blog conversations (email) with friends and family and many of us back and forth about this situation and there is more that was not posted. Perhaps we all might make different decisions but it is all about that odds and quality of life and in the end that is a personal decision. I trust the doctors would not allow anyone to make that decision arbitrarily, especially that of a child. Heck, it makes the news when a mother and father don't allow medical intervention because of religious beliefs and then courts get involved. I'm guessing the odds were such in this case that doctors supported the family's decision.

    1. Anonymous respected my decision to delete their first post but I must do it again. There is already too much pain and I don't want anything to add to it.

  5. Are you demented or just evil? Was Michele obligated to check in with you before she did the most horrific thing no parent wants to have to do? You say she didn't like RMD house or Nashville, as if that is why Finn is no longer on earth. How do you live with a brain like that?

  6. Thanks lotta joy. we both must have been fuming simultaneously at Anonymous at 6:13's post. I'm sure Michelle was upset about a whole lot of things since Finn's birth. I personally find Anonymous at 6:13 to be an arrogant SOB to have posted what you did. Perhaps you did not notice that Two Men and a Little Farm is at the top of Michelle's Blog List. I assume you're quite pleased with yourself that there's every likelihood that Michelle will see your vile comments. Thanks for sharing your despicable thoughts.

    2. BarbaraB: if it's any consolation to you, I'm sure Michele knows we have her back, in her absence. This woman has given Michele grief even before Finn was born. Thank you, first man for removing such idiotic ravings.

    3. No problem. There is enough pain, no need to add to it.

  8. That was an amazingly moving thing to have done. Sharing the pain and the joy of the family in such a responsible way was an act of courage that I'm not sure I ever will have. Thanks for sharing this, it enriches my life. Any mistakes in this post are caused by tears.

  9. Thank you First Man for deleting Anonymous at 6:13 and then catching the repost and deleting that as well. I prefer that folks are allowed to speak their piece, but that person has long outworn their welcome. Is this getting close to banishment? I don't know where the line is. I do know the all of us feel so protective of Michelle and her family and that we want to shield all of them at least for the time being.

    1. It was an anonymous comment so I have no way to know who it was, but I could easily turn them off and then they would have to post with their name and email. I prefer not to, but I think whoever anonymous was understood and didn't post anymore. There is just so much pain I don't want anyone to do anything to cause more. Thank you for your post.
