STONE OUTDOOR LIVING, INSPIRATION THURSDAY

Southernliving.com outdoor fire pit seating area
We love this outdoor fire pit area.  I'll be honest, when I first saw this picture, I thought of "The Flintstones", LOL!  Doesn't it just look like something brought to life from the cartoon?  OK, maybe instead of that, an ancient stone monument used for some really cool ritual?  OK, OK....it's a stone seating area with a fire pit in front of it.  Still neat huh?  We like the way it's just sort of out in the middle of this beautiful area (of course, no way to know what's on this side of the camera, ha).  It certainly looks like it would hold up for a lifetime.  Heck, it doesn't even need the fire pit, the idea of seats like this would be neat in spots all around the area.

Hope you are having a great week!  We have a small tropical disturbance floating around in the Gulf of Mexico (just offshore) and so there could be a lot of rain.  We hope so, everything is very dry and we could use it.

Be inspired!

    1. I know, the view would be great. A nap would be good too, though stone and concrete might not be conducive to napping, ha.

  3. It's like a stone oasis. Hope you get the rain. We are finally receiving lots of rain after not having had any for months. Great timing as we are expecting the arrival of another 25,000 litre tank in a few days and we will be able to fill it from our now flowing creek!

    1. I like that description, stone oasis. Alas, so far, we haven't had much rain. Weather is so fickle. 25000 liters? Wow, that's a big tank.

  4. It's like an outdoor Man Cave! Ha!

It really is ruggedly beautiful and looks like it will last forever. If you used native Texas stones, it would be soooo gorgeous at your farm!

    1. Hey, that is a good description isn't it? It would be nice someday. Too many other projects now but that's why I post these, to look back on them and do them someday, ha. Like the idea of native Texas stone.

  5. 25,000L is a big tank but small in comparison with our neighbours (120,000L buried underground). This new tank will be our 4th 25,000L tank.
