FLOWER GARDEN, INSPIRATION THURSDAY

Coneflower garden, image courtesy of www.hgtvgardens.com
We needed to see some color and bright light today.  We have had three days of rain this week and more coming today.  Coming up on 8 inches at the farm.  Because of our gray and rainy days, I wanted to post something colorful and vibrant and potentially doable at the farm...these are coneflowers and I believe they will do well down in these parts.  I'd like to find a place for something like this, if we ever see the sun again, ha.

Hope you are having a good week!

Be inspired!

  2. Love those cone flowers. I noticed that mine haven't not made much of an appearance yet this spring. I wonder if I've lost that plant.

All the talk of bees you must watch this from Twisted Sifter.

  3. Very pretty and cheerful. Do I detect a theme lately with the wooden fences?

    1. Hmm, there is a theme, I didn't even think about that. It must be a subconscious thing, ha.

  6. Stick with the basic old fashioned varieties. The fancy doubles, raspberry, orange etc just done do as well. At least for me. Wasted many dollars and they grew just one year.

  7. 1st Man,

Flowers are just so lovely, relaxing, refreshing, and fun to admire. That's why I'm sending you some seeds myself, you have so many places there at the farm to setup inspirational flower beds.
    Sending hugs to you both,
    Sandy
