  2. My grandmother loved Julia Child and never missed her show on TV. I would watch too while I did handwork. I've seen her kitchen in the Smithsonian. She truly is an American icon.

    1. Oh, that's on our bucket list, to see her kitchen that would be so awesome. We've seen every show she's ever had I think. Several times over, ha.

  3. I loved this lady. I have many of her books (and use them, too) including the one written on her love for her cats. :) She was the real-deal. Deb

  4. I loved watching her also and occasionally will try and catch an old episode on youtube. Because of Julia, my best friend, Kathy, and I played in the kitchen and were whipping up mock champagne and chocolate mousse by the time we were in the 6th grade. So Happy Birthday, Julia and thanks for making me unafraid of successes and mistakes in the kitchen. I think maybe I should have a little bourbon in memory!

    1. Thank you, she was truly, from everything I've read and heard, a very lovely and kind person for all of her life, even with fame she stayed humble.
