After the post last week, we were still looking at furniture and I just love this one. And I even like this color, ha. The homeowner took an old cabinet, painted it a bright and cherry color and turned it into a plant stand, or more accurately, a flowering plant stand.
We actually have a small cabinet that I wasn't sure what to do with. It's in the living room and we really want a larger (and more useful) piece in that spot and so we could take the other cabinet and do this, or maybe a combination of last week and this week and make it a place for storing things AND have some pretty flowers on it.

Another pretty idea for adding a spot of color to your porch! I like the idea of combining storage and a place for flowers.

DeleteOh that is really pretty and I have just the spot for something like this at the lake place! Now I just need to find a small cabinet to use. Goodwill here I come.

ReplyDeleteOn an old country farm house; old galvanized tubs, buckets - used as hanging containers (different sizes) are also great for planting flowers in and can be spray painted in nice bright colors or leave as is.

DeleteI LOVE IT! I don't even like the color purple, but you know I love yellow and this a fantastic shade of it. But the purple enhances it so well. Thanks FM!!!

DeleteHa!!! I have that little piece of furniture! It's a knitters cabinet, the sides have flip tops that open to store long knitting needles, a tiny top drawer for holding small knitting tools, big bottom drawer for your yarn. It belonged to my grandmother and has been painted a couple of times. Nice to see it yellow and full of flowers too.

Barn red, that's a great color to use. For now while the house is white (ish) that would be great. There is a time though when we will paint the exterior and then we'll have to really decided what to do, ha. Thanks for the suggestion, love it!
