HOMEMADE BREAKFAST AND COOL WEATHER FINALLY

Homemade strawberry jam and biscuits
Homemade strawberry jam (a gift) and homemade biscuits (2nd Man)...

Put them together with a little butter (not homemade but locally sourced) and it is was heaven on a plate.

The weather yesterday at the farm was weird.  Still warm and windy and started out clear but then got cloudier and dark and VERY windy. Then it rained a bit so we ended the day about 4pm.

Today we have an appointment in town, I wished I could have switched our days, ha.

But here is our forecast for the week. This is just about the most perfect weather for us this time of year.  Lows in the 40's, highs in the upper 60's.  Should be a great week!  We have to work Mon/Tue/Wed, but with a 4 day weekend after that and some perfect weather, I'm hoping to get a lot of those little projects finally done.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

  1. The biscuits look delicious and glad you like the strawberry jam.
Beautiful day here today and just a light breeze. Nothing compared to the strong winds we had yesterday. If a person where wearing a cap outside yesterday I do believe that it would had blown in the next county or state. Either way, there would had been no way you would had been able to run it down.
Sure big difference from yesterday and today weather wise.
    Enjoy your day

    1. Thanks, it was all so wonderful. Sometimes it's the simple things, ha. Man that wind yesterday was insane. And too funny you mentioned the cap, mine DID blow off and went a good 20 feet, only stopped by the brush. I put it in the car after that, ha. Today, gorgeous!

  2. The weather the rest of this week will be sunny, cloudless, and very cold. Yesterday, for about an hour we had the longest, hardest sustained winds in a long time. Then, a terrific line of rain came through and joined the wind. Finally, when the wind and rain left, the temps dropped. Through the rest of the week will be good "working in the yard" weather, which I will not do. Okay, maybe I will plant onions and garlic and tulips. Plus, I need to make a trap for chipmunks.

Now, I need a buttered biscuit with jelly.

  6. Nothing like biscuits and jam with coffee on a cold day here. My favorite are English Tea Biscuits.
