ReplyDeleteWhat language is 'Seda Bolsa', and what does it mean?
Thank you so much! We have a post way back about the name but here it is in a nutshell. When we bought it, we had a contractor come give us an estimate to just fix up the house a bit. He called back and left us a message on voicemail. "I can do it but I'm just telling you ahead of time, I can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear". Needless to say, he didn't get the job. But when we were thinking of names we remembered that. I told 2nd Man we were going to prove him wrong and make that purse out of the pigs ear. We chose Spanish because it's so ubiquitous in Texas. Seda/Silk and Bolsa/Bag (closest Spanish word to purse). The correct grammatical use would be "Bolsa de Seda" but we liked the way the simple "Seda Bolsa" sounded, it sounded like some place exotic. So Seda Bolsa Farm was born. :-)
