FLOWER GARDEN INSPIRATION THURSDAY

On Thursdays, we like to post a picture of something we've found online that inspires us to do something similar at the farm. Sort of our own blog bulletin board so that we can eventually look back and someday, hopefully anyway, recreate it...enjoy!

One last blast of color to look at and daydream as Fall sets in and Winter is just around the corner.  We always like to see these colors and love the idea of a flowerbed like this in the yard has always appealed to us. You've seen my mowing pictures, we have a LOT of space for something like this.  The only thing that has stopped us from doing it so far is the fear of getting it established and then construction trucks etc moving around the yard when we have the house worked on.

So we collect these ideas for color/texture/height combinations that we like.  And we like this one, ha.

Be inspired!

  1. Gorgeous.
This would be something that you probably should wait to put in After all the construction work is finished.

    1. I even like the bed in the back & to the left with the evergreen trees and then you get that 1 lonely plant sitting under the tree; just waiting to be planted I guess.

Anyone know what that piece of yard art might be in the back of the front bed; (right back corner)

  2. Beautiful! I like the various colors and heights with the birdbaths in the center.

  3. That is beautiful! Maybe you could put this far enough away or near the barns to keep it safe. Also, you could test the plants for your area and make sure it was what you wanted and it loved its space.
