Today is Memorial Day...
...and we are thinking of all the men and women who have passed that have done so much for our country.
Thank you, your sacrifice does not go unnoticed.
Friday night, we got a line of storms spring up and it brought HEAVY rain. Above is the radar over the farm at about 10:15pm. I spoke to "J" and she said we had almost 3 inches of rain added to the total at the farm. We realized that meant it would be too wet for mowing this weekend and our only hope would be a dry Saturday and Sunday and no rainy Monday. Well we got that and so today as this posts, we're headed out to check on things. I'm hoping I can get some mowing in. Even if I can only mow the driveway and the yard around the house, that'll be fine.

Yesterday I made two racks of bbq ribs and we split one rack with a side of coleslaw and today we're having the other rack with homemade mac and cheese.
We finally got our yard mowed yesterday even tho it was still somewhat wet but it had to be done being there is rain in the forecast for every day this week again.
ReplyDeleteHubby done the weed wacking trimming early this morning and got done and and it started to sprinkle and will be getting a down pour here before long. Them rain clouds are moving in pretty fast.
We will never forget the sacrifice, courage or commitment to our nation of our men and women in uniform. Every day of the year, we must care for the men and women who have so bravely fought and sacrificed to defend the freedoms we share.
On this Memorial Day, let’s show that we are grateful for all of our fallen heroes.
Hope you had a good day at the Farm! You got a lot of rain there Friday night, double what I got here. And there’s rain in the forecast for every day this week.
