NO FARM TODAY.
It's been raining since last night. Nothing heavy or flooding but just a steady, Winter rain...
We're under all that (here in town and the farm) and have been since last night. And it's going to last all day. Good rains for the farm trees and plants but will mean a mess of mud and everything is wet.
It's currently 46 degrees and "feels like" 40. They say we're going to get to 52 but I don't think it will get out of the 40's. Wet cold is the worst. Tomorrow will be better, clear and slightly warmer but I'll still need to dress warmly.
So I'll go to the farm then. The truck needs to be driven and even with all the rain, I'll need to water the plants on the porch.
We'll be grateful that we don't have 7 FEET of snow like parts of the country currently have. We're not cut out for that. Stay warm wherever you are!
You are so correct! Wet cold is the worst. That usually comes with a dreary sky, my worst kind of day. The worst wreck we have ever had was between Rochester and Buffalo Dec 26.
ReplyDeleteIt just goes through you bones doesn't it? That's what scares me about snow and ice is having to drive in it.
DeleteWinter has definitely arrived. I stepped outside for a minute and the windy wet cold just cuts down to the bone. And more is predicted for Monday. Brrr! I have gotten about an inch of rain so far.
ReplyDeleteI made a pot of Green Bean-Potato-Ham soup. It is sooo good and perfect for keeping warm in this weather.
Y’all stay warm and dry!
Mmm, that sounds yummy. We had some beef stroganoff today it was good and satisfying. You stay warm and dry too!!
Deleteall of that snow is just a couple hours north of us and we had a bright sunny day...damn!
ReplyDeleteHa, you must like the snow. Hopefully before Winter is over y'all will get some to enjoy.
DeleteHonestly, I think I will take this sort of weather over them triple digits we had. At least now a person can always add another layer of clothing, but a person can only do so much in them triple digit days except to soak in a cool tub of water and wish that cooler temperatures would soon be on the way.
ReplyDeleteEveryone enjoy your day and wishing each and everyone of you to stay safe and all have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
Winter has arrived in our area too. Stay warm!
