NEW YEARS EVE FUNNY

Today is New Year's Eve but for us it's just a regular weekend day mostly.  We don't go out and fight the crowds.  Our thinking is that nothing good happens on the roads after midnight when you're out.  Too many crazy drivers.  Plus, we feel we're past the age limit for partying until all hours of the morning to ring in the New Year.  We'll leave that for the younger crowd, ha.

Much nicer to stay in with some good food, we'll still have some bubbly and then just watch the festivities as they unfold on TV.

We saw this the other day and were cracking up:

This sums it up perfectly! 😂😂😂

Enjoy the evening have fun and be safe whatever you do and wherever you go!

  1. I'm in that same crowd. PJs, Miley and Dolly tonight are my part hosts.

  2. I am already in my party attire--a long flannel nightgown with cardinals on it. Shoes are optional. You could not pay me to go out! Watching Dolly and Miley here and maybe a movie.

  3. Happy New Year to the pair of you (and of course to Hobart too). It is New Year's Day here, and the new year found her way in without my assistance.

  5. We have had our 6th floor New Year's Eve get-together with food and champagne and called it good by 5:30 p.m. It is 6:18 p.m. now!
No staying up till midnight for most of us old folks!
You two have the right idea ... stay in and stay safe!

  6. Oh my gosh that is so funny! And true! As others have said, I'm here in my slippers, my flannel pjs with a glass of wine hoping I make up until midnight. But if I don't as long as 2023 arrives like normal, I'm fine, ha. Janie V

  7. Stayed home as well and was in bed by 10:00. Watched a few of the neighbors fireworks and that was it for us. We're not really party animals. Leave that up to the much younger folks now.
May the closeness of your loved ones, family, and friends fill your heart with joy. Happy New Year!

  9. Enjoyed my evening at home with the kitties, safe and sound.
Wishing you all a very happy New Year!
Later, I’m making some cornbread to go with the black eyed peas, cabbage, and pork - a traditional New Year’s Day meal.
