COUNTERTOPS ARE IN NEW HOUSE UPDATE

Another day, another milestone.  This time, the counters have gone in.  Here are some photos.  Well start with the bathroom photos and end with the good stuff, the kitchen, ha.

Guest bathroom.  All of our counters in the house are quartz.  This one is a matte black (the shine is from the protective plastic over it).

Here is the master bath counter.  Same matte black quartz as the guest bath (flooring will be different).

Pantry counter.  No sink just eight feet of counter space for 2nd Man's baking prep.

Here's the kitchen!  A white shiny quartz with gray veining.  We found the perfect veining to fit the gray cabinet color.  It looks so good in person.

Here is our kitchen sink!  2nd Man wanted us to have the biggest deepest sink we could get...and, well, here we are, ha.

Here is the view out the window.  2nd Man can keep an eye on me when I'm mowing the front yard, ha.  Plus we can see the driveway and of course the front porch.

You can see the wall where the fridge, double ovens and cooktop will be.  And of course...the island counter!

The big, beautiful island!

Check this out!

Oh the cooking that will happen in here!

Next week's post...tile installed!

  1. Absolutely love the counter tops;. Really classy. Oh, also love that farmhouse sink. Would dearly love to have a sink like that. So many of my pans, baking sheets, casserole containers, etc. just don't fit in my small double sink, so in the tub they go to get washed and rinsed.
Down side on a farmhouse sink; no way of rinsing them off before drying.
Enjoy your day and have a wonderful, relaxed evening.
    Blessings 2 U both

  3. That deep sink is amazing. You could bathe Hobart in it! But, like most kitties, I bet he takes care of that all by himself.

  5. I was thinking the gray was a little bit bland but the counter tops pull the design up to smart and sophisticated. Never mind the cat, I think a small human could have a bath in the sink.

  9. Just catching up on a few recent posts. The house is coming together wonderfully well - so exciting to see - lovely pictures. I have kitchen envy! Regarding listing items in top cupboards, I use sticky labels inside the lower doors to tell me what is stored above. Had a flashback to when you sold a previous property and moved into your current flat at the start of your journey and now here you are nearly at the end of your journey. Looking forward to the housewarmings!
