COWS SURE ARE NOSEY

I was at the farm, working on the garden beds last weekend and I heard some mooing.  Seems the cows from the property just behind the garden area were wandering over to the fenceline to see what I was doing.

Nosey cows...mind YOUR own business!

    1. Ha, yep and it's growing FAST! Can't believe it's February (well almost March) but the weather here has been very mild this season.

  2. Haha! You said it. They sure are curious creatures. I love them, such beautiful beasts. Sometimes when the whim takes me (and it's a lovely morning) I practice my Tai Chi outside on the grass. When I look up there are a dozen curious bovines lined up against the fence, scrutinising my every move. The sheep on the other hand couldn't give a toss and don't even look up, just continue with their breakfasts.

    1. THAT is the funniest story. I could totally see that. There wasn't a cow in sight when I started working over there by the fence and in about 20 minutes they were all there watching. It's the darnedest thing. The more I hand around them, I'm growing more fascinated by them.

  5. Just don't plant corn too close to the fence. I made that mistake once when we lived next to a cow pasture. Those cows were tempted long enough and came over the fence into my garden and ate every stalk of corn and then some other things too, before I saw them. Cows are big! And they pretty much do what they want to do. But I love cows.

    1. Oh my gosh, that's a good point. I'm definitely going to keep things away from the fence. I've got a bit of space at the back of the garden. For now it's all toward the front, future expansion in later seasons will get closer and closer, I'll have to keep that in mind. They are big standing next to them huh? They are like a small car, ha.

  6. I have a friend who is terrified of cows, I once witnessed him just waist deep into a river because there was a loose cow walking. I couldn't help laughing. All the cow was doing was coming to have a look at the madman in the water.

    1. THAT is too funny. I'm sure you were cracking up, I know I would be. Afraid of cows? Now an angry bull, I might understand of course, ha. That cow had a story to tell later to his cow friends, LOL!
