FIFTY SHADES OF BEIGE, THE FARM IN WINTER

Here's a quick view of the area around the house in Winter.  We've had several mid 20's freezes out there, so it's all dead and/or dormant now. This is the view down the driveway toward 2nd Family's house.

Here is the front yard, looking toward 2nd Family's back pasture.  This is, in other months, my favorite part to mow.  Now it's just a whole lot of nothing, and nothing to mow for sure.

This is near where we park, looking back toward the house and the rear of the property.  It's funny, the little bit of green, besides being more weeds than anything else, is under the shade of the overhanging branch.

This is off to one side of the property, a few more green sprigs still left, again, probably weeds (I swear those things can live through just about anything).  Most of the trees around are now barren of leaves.

This is the property behind ours, it's the one where cattle are usually grazing but they are long gone this late in the season.  Now it's just more beige and dormant grass and trees.

  6. That looks nothing like winter. Where are the inches of snow that currently cover my yard?

    1. Ha, they should come up with a different word for it. Definitely NOT the Winter of your neck of the woods huh?

    1. Thank you! It's funny, I noticed the first picture down the driveway is almost the same picture that I use over on the side for the giveaway button. Isn't the difference amazing? Can't wait for Spring! Thank you for stopping by and for your comment!

    1. Great minds think alike! I totally thought about. Of course I'm not sure how load bearing that branch is but that's a definite possibility! Thank you!! :-)
