BEAT THE RAIN

As this posts, it's a day of 'beat the rain' at the farm.  I didn't mow last weekend because it was "bee weekend" and I was working in the garden.

This weekend it definitely needs it because it's grown for a couple of weeks and is getting tall.

The urgency is that our weather forecast calls for heavy rain starting tonight (possibly this afternoon) and then staying heavy tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday and even into Wednesday.  That would mean next weekend will be far too wet to mow.

I have to check the new bees as well.
And put some more compost and soil in the raised beds.

So fingers crossed today!

Updates later!

Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful (and drier) start!

  3. I hope your day went well. And envy the rain. We got some last night. Incontinent pigeon rain. Splat, splat and it was gone.

  4. 1st Man,

Good to hear your getting that grass all done before the heavy rain.
Were expecting heavy rain as well, and half of our grass is cut. The other half will have to wait. We also need to layout some weed and feed.

    1. Yes, I managed to get it all done. And some garden planting, then it rained. And will for the next several days. Saw y'all had some funnel clouds, 'tis the season as they say. Stay safe!!

  5. Hope you got your grass mowed before the rain.
The rain will be good for all your growing plants. With the rain we got a few days ago, my garden has really had a growth spurt. As my Grandma always said, "Rain is fertilizer from heaven."
