INFESTATION OF NIDORANS AND SLOWPOKES

Look what is at the farm now!?!?  The purple one is a Nidoran and the pink one is a Slowpoke!

WHAT you say?  HA!

What pesticide takes care of that?

OK...our farm got into the Pokemon craze......not us playing though, I think we're well over the age limit for that, haha!

No, 2nd Family's daughter is playing and since it involves lots of walking, they asked if she could walk around our property.  Well of course she can!

We said "you can roam wherever as long as you send us pics whenever you find one" and now we have these.

Funny, I didn't see them when I was mowing...they must have been hiding well.  I'll have to keep an eye out this weekend just in case...

  1. I had no idea what you were referring to. Does this mean others will come to your property to find these critters, too?

    1. LOL! Hey, it goes over our heads too, ha! No, we don't have a "stop" (pokestop? I think they are called?) at our property....thankfully. The way the game works is the more you walk around (wherever) the more creatures you can "find" (they are randomly generated). Now there ARE places that are set up to have LOTS of them and people can find them on a map.

  3. LOL. How cute.
The Pokémon is all the rage now for the young and old at heart. For me, just not into it myself. Looks like a craze going on like them yard flamingos.
    Shortly after we had moved from the city life to the country life we had woke up one morning and out in our front yard was dozens of the yard flamingos. Had found out later that when someone new moves into the area their yard is decorated with them darn flamingos and then you in turn put them up in someone else's yard who is new to the area. They just keep moving from one yard to another. Of course you must do this all late at night so no one knows who it was who put them in the yard. :}
We just mowed our yard Wed. so won't have to do any mowing this weekend which is a good thing being rain is in the forecast for tomorrow.
You have a great and enjoyable weekend.

    1. Oh my, that sounds hilarious. I like that your neighborhood is welcoming like that. It might be work but it sounds fun. And speaking of, I'd like to have a yard flamingo or two, for old times sake. I might have to seek some out.

Yep, rain forecast here, ugh. I'll see how much I can get done. I keep my eye on the radar while we're there. We don't mind staying if it's just some rain. But they are talking about potential flooding rains, so we'll keep an eye on the sky!

  4. I am out of the pokemon demo but I wish I had come up with the idea. Now I am wondering if any Pokemon critters are swimming in the back yard or wandering around at the lake place. What a great way to get people out and moving.

    1. Oh my can you imagine coming up with that? Sigh. It's great to see people, especially young people, roaming around in parks and stuff. I think the game randomly generates them around where you are when using it, it's just that there are places deliberately put with lots and lots of them.

  5. People don't just walk around a lot. They are "directed" to the location. So, that means someone has put them on your property? When I see hoards of people in strange places, all with their phones out, I know someone hid a Pokémon there.

Maybe you two could catch them and train them to fight! Be careful when mowing.

    1. No, thankfully, these were the randomly generated ones (that's why they only got two, ha). But yeah, you can "spray" something in the game, and that can "attract" more. It's weird...go figure, ha.
