MORE CHRISTMAS DECOR 2023

With everything that's gone on, we didn't get much Christmas decorating done.

Got our vintage Santa and Rudolph put out.  We love these.  We had a post on these last year and their history in my family.  You can read that HERE if you are so inclined.  Oh and our artificial poinsettias that we love the look of.

Put out the dining room table decor (you can see the nutcrackers on the hutch) so at least this is a nice focal point when you look at the room.

Found these last year on "after Christmas clearance".  Really nice jingle bells made to hang over your doorknob and very time we open the door, they jingle.  The was an easy decoration to put up, ha.

A gift from last year.
Because Hobart is #notspoiled

We got our stockings hung on the cabinet with care, ha.  We skipped the big ones on the hutch this year.

And lastly, we certainly couldn't get the big 9' tree up here (it takes two to carry it up and a ladder to reach up high to decorate) but we made do.  This is the corner where we normally put the tree so we decided to use the large plant that's there the rest of the year as the "tree", ha.  Lest you worry about the poinsettia and Hobart, it too is artificial.

It's Christmas Eve but hey, looks like Santa has already visited!

  4. Your apartment looks very festive.
    Wet sp.
Had more rain during the night and throughout this morning. It has all let up and skies are clear but did receive almost 3 inches.
Take care and enjoy your holiday.

  5. Sometimes, a person has to step back a bit and resume traditions at another time. It all looks quite festive. I have a few things to set in place and the decoration is done, Hanging stockings in cute. I hung mine on the edge of the bookcase until the stockings were filled and then lay them under the tree. Hobart deserves everything.

    1. Practical Parsimony here. I meant to say we had a months long drought, then only less than an inch. Now, Christmas Day will be rainy. Boo on that since kids will be getting bikes they need to ride.

  6. I love seeing your Santa and Rudolph again. They both have the sweetest expressions on their face. And all the love through the generations makes them even more special.
Your Christmas decorations are just right for the December y’all had. You have everything you need for Christmas - each other.
Wishing you three a very Merry Christmas filled with love. 🎄❤️

  7. Sometimes we have to cut back a bit, but that doesn't make your decorations any less beautiful.

    Love,

  8. Merry Christmas! I think you did a fantastic decorating job in spite of your "adventure." Life is the most precious gift of all.
