GARDEN FLOWER ARCH INSPIRATION THURSDAY

Every Thursday, we like to post a picture of something we've found online that inspires us to do something similar at the farm.
Sort of our own blog bulletin board so that we can eventually look back and hopefully recreate it...enjoy!

This wonderful before and after photo set was sent by one of our dear "friends of the farm" (i.e. blog followers).

By way of a back story, she was clearing some forsythia and saved the branches, bundled them together, stuck them in some barrels with rocks to hold them in place and then planted morning glories at the base.  And voila...

...she created this beautiful arch entrance into her garden!  So pretty!  We're also enthralled by the other flowers she has all around her yard.  Nicely done and very inspirational to us!  We'll have to do something like this.

Be inspired!

  1. How pretty and so very rustic looking with them Morning Glories grown up on it. Thing about morning glories, they will spread and spread and spread and reseed so will have more the next year. They make for a pretty fence cover or cover an arbor nicely

    1. Morning glories are so pretty aren't they? My grandmother used to grow them I really need to try that sometime. And It think they are pretty forgiving, when it comes to weather.

    1. I wish forsythia grew here, it's SO pretty and the wood branches are a wonderful "second benefit".
