HERE WE GO AGAIN

UPDATE:  It is 6:30pm local time and we are in the midst of a torrential downpour all across the city of Houston.  We are safely back home in town, left the farm just before it hit.

There has been over 5" inches of rain in the last hour and a half and it's STILL raining.  Lots of lightning, our power has flickered a few times but about 50,000 people are without power currently.

Roads are starting to flood and cars are starting to get stranded in the water.  Several of the Bayous that flooded homes on Monday are now about to top their banks again.

This is just insane weather...I just really don't know what else to say.

They SAY that after this round, we're going to clear out and start to dry up.
Farm and picture updates tomorrow, now back to the TV.

We have finally had a good weather report. No rain in the forecast this next week. I will be trying to fill the sink holes. Good luck to you guys too.

Your area has certainly had it rough. Fingers crossed the tap gets turned off soon.

Stay safe. We have rain every day it seems but nothing as dangerous as your high water.

Hoping this is the last of the severe weather and the destructive flooding. Keep safe!

Sure looking forward to better days ahead. Much better forecast for the upcoming week.
We're actually getting sun in place of the rain

Incredible amounts of rain. We are also in Texas and got a massive amount of rain, but NOTHING like what you're dealing with. Hope you're safe and drying out today! We have clear skies now here in the north Dallas area, so wishing you the same.

Yes, sun is peaking out today, though it's still overcast, even though the radar is clear. But that's ok, that still means no storms and I'm ok with the overcast.

Hi! Thanks for commenting. It's starting to clear up today and the forecast looks promising!

1st Man,

I'm glad you were able to get out to the farm. Be safe, the weather should be clearing soon.
Today it was finally beautiful out. The weather man stated something about rain tonight for us.
