Was at Kroger (grocery store) yesterday at lunch and they had these on clearance. When we originally saw them, they were way overpriced (but we still liked them). But now, this large platter was $24, lowered to $8, and then lowered to $4.
This large bowl will be great for salads/pasta, it's wide and shallow. This one was originally $28, lowered to $9 and then lowered to $4.50. They definitely have a nice 'farmhouse vibe' to them, with a French twist.
Have you had any good bargain finds lately?
Wish we had a Kroger's here near San Antonio. You absolutely had a treasure find.
ReplyDeleteThahnks, this was a lucky find. There is a big Kroger near us in town and they have a small housewares/decor section. They are always putting stuff on clearance. I just have to remember to check it out regularly, ha.
Delete1st Man - i think you have some kind of magnetized something inside of you that lets you find all of these great treasures!!! both of those finds are beautiful and i can't believe what you paid for them!!!
ReplyDeleteon another note - i just your post about your curtain doors. when i got my first apartment with a female roomate the bathroom was just waaaay too small for all of our "products". people thought we were crazy for taking down the bathroom door and putting up a curtain but it worked well for us. plus we used the bathroom door, on four milk cartons to make a bed for me. worked out just great - bahahahha!
i like that you guys are using the curtains for heating/cooling. but i also think it makes the rooms look more spacious and light - good job!
sending much love! your friend,
kymber
LOL, I think I'm just channeling my Mom, ha. She was good at that too (hence the reason we have a storage unit full of stuff). Hey, I understand, we contemplated putting up doors but in a small space, they take up a lot of wall space.
DeleteThank you!!!
i love these. now i have to look for them!
ReplyDeleteBed Bath Beyond...ha. I believe they are called "Reina"
DeleteYou are a master at finding good bargains and great items! You definitely have an eye for spotting them and a nose for sniffing them out! I love this platter and bowl - perfect for y'all's Farm.
ReplyDeleteThanks, they were too good to pass up for sure. My Mom taught me well, ha.
DeleteBoy, did you win the lottery on those or what!
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it that way but yeah it was sort of a bowl/platter lotto, ha.
DeleteI like them. Great price, too.
ReplyDeletethanks!!! they are pretty, we're happy.
DeleteGreat find! My husband found me a used iPhone in perfect shape with 3 chargers for $20.00! I love it. Garage sales rock in our little city!
ReplyDeleteWOW! now THAT'S a deal! Garage sales here in the big city can be good at times but dang you have to get there EARLY, ha.
Delete1st Man,
ReplyDeleteGreat find and deal, I wish we had a Kroger up here.
Kroger is a great grocery store. It's pretty much where we shop the most, though we do love HEB.
DeleteThose are pretty, you got a great buy.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist. They had such great graphics on them.
DeleteVery nice an excellent find!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think I got lucky, ha.
DeleteAmazing finds.
ReplyDeleteWell thank you very much!!
DeleteGreat finds, and if you think 'outside the box' that bowl would be perfect for ice cream! ;-D
ReplyDeleteWhatever use you find for the platter and the bowl they are lovely. Enjoy them in good health.
jaime
ICE CREAM! You are a woman after my own heart, ha. I never thought about that. Thanks!!!
DeleteI didn't realize thee Kroger's that far south. I thought the major grocery stores were Piggly Wiggly and Winn Dixie, lol Great finds!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any Piggly or Winn's here. Not sure if they are in North Texas but none at all. Here it's mostly Kroger, HEB, Fiesta, Randalls (now owned by Safeway), FoodTown and a few others.
DeleteThose are great! Lucky you. I love a bargain, but rarely find any!
ReplyDeleteI'm not always this lucky but on occasion I score something good (or two).
DeleteNice Find!!! Hoping you don't get too flooded this weekend. M
