OFF TO THE HOT FARM

Well, off to the farm today for some work, not sure I'll do much outside...but there is always something to do inside.  High today will be 102...

Though I would think that a few hours of just sitting here with a glass or two of cold iced tea...

...wouldn't be such a bad thing, am I right?

Of course, it could be worse, did you see about THIS CITY IN IRAN that had a near world record heat index temp of 163 degrees?  I just can't imagine what those people are going through.

Updates later, have a great start to your weekend!

  1. Planning is the most important stage in many things.

Those rocking chairs aided by ice tea would provide the perfect spot to plan.

    Stay hydrated and have fun.

    1. I agree, Gail! Down time is the perfect planning time...and there's no guilt involved ;-)

    2. There you go! I like the way you both think, ha. There was some planning done...and some cold drinks...and perhaps a nap.... ;-) I DID mow though....so some work got done.

  2. Those women looked to be carrying water buckets. What can anyone even do in temps like that? Forget politics- I hope people are getting taken care of.

    1. Yes, isn't that sad? I am totally with you, forget politics or how anyone feels what is right or wrong in deals with Governments, let's all have compassion for each other as humans, right?

And those poor overdressed, over-burdened women. I hope they get some relief soon.

  6. I love the picture with the rockers. I think you have the right idea - sitting in those rockers with a big pitcher of iced tea - and maybe a tub of cold water for your feet - and there's your weekend!

  9. Our small heatwave ended yesterday...4 days of 103-106 degrees: awful! Now we're in the 80's, but surrounded by choking smoke...fires on the east side and west side of our part of the Sacramento Valley...the bright side is: I'm not in Iran.

    1. 80's? That's nice but the fires, no, I hope you are all safe. And yes, not Iran. ;-)

  10. 1st Man,

Sit back in your rocker, enjoy some tea, and watch the day go by. Best way to relax with a loved one.
