With New Years here, I figured, this week's poll would be an easy one.
Do you make New Year's Resolutions or not?
Do you make a list of them? Do you follow them? Do they really help? I think we always make them but not sure we always follow them. One of our dearest friends in the world told us that it's better to set goals instead of calling them resolutions. She asked us tonight what ours were. We had to say that we hadn't thought too much of it. Definitely need to work on the exercise thing, but we also want to get the farmhouse finished and up and running, and get the gardens going too. I sometimes have this want to have it all finished as soon as possible, but we have lots of time.
SO...Do you make resolutions for the New Year or not?
As always, vote below and, if you want, feel free to comment!
I used to make resolutions, but I never did follow through on them very well. Now, like your friend, I set goals. My new year will see new composite wood floors and carpeting throughout much of the house, as well as new kitchen counter tops and sink. Of course, that will make the walls look ratty, so the paint brush will have to come out. That leads to a new coat of varnish on the cupboards. Bathrooms are in need of updating....oh, dear, I think that puts me well into 2013!
ReplyDeleteWell, I voted yes---because I DO make resolutions. But, no, sadly, they don't work for me. I think GOALS sounds a little better.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I am all for making goals. If you don't have any goals, you don't know where you are going.
