It's been a long couple of weeks. The water has finally receded in most areas but the impact, sadly, will last for months and years to come for so many.
Yesterday was a good day at the farm (update tomorrow). Today we are resting in town. Work (and life in general) has been so chaotic, we just need a day to rest. Happy animal and food photos as a distraction from the events here.
Brisbane the cat |
The cats however, seemed non-plussed by all the disastrous weather we had or the stress of the last few weeks. This is Brisbane, chillin' in his bed, ha.
Hobart the cat |
Here is Hobart, he was needing a little TLC from 2nd Man and so he fell asleep while being held.
Nope. Not. Spoiled. At. All.
Spinach cheese scrambled eggs with bacon |
And speaking of not spoiled, of course we aren't starving either, LOL!
2nd Man made these scrambled eggs with cheese and spinach and then cooked some applewood smoked bacon (our favorite) for breakfast.
Hope your weekend is going well!
I love sleepy kitty pictures and yours are so cute and relaxing. Everyone needs a cuddle at this time. My heart and prayers are with everyone affected by all this disaster in our world - the storms, floods, wildfires.
ReplyDeleteYUM for your breakfast - 2nd Man really knows how to take simple things like bacon and eggs and dress them up into something scrumptious!
I have so many hummingbirds visiting my feeders right now. I love watching them - they bring a bit of beauty and joy.
I'm glad you both are getting some much needed rest and respite today.
Aren't sleepy kitties the best? I know the disasters just seem to keep coming, hurricanes, flood, fires and don't forget the mega quake in Mexico. Sigh.
DeleteHummers? YAY! I would love to put some feeders up at the farm but we need to keep them filled and I'm afraid they'd be empty by the weekend, ha.
Rest is just as important as work, and work is not always physical or even mental! Sometimes it can be emotional, like surviving hurricanes. We got about two inches from Harvey and are forecast to get another four from Irma! Always enjoy seeing the kitties and the egg, spinach, cheese, and bacon plate looks pretty good too!
ReplyDeleteYes, absolutely. Thank you for the reminder. It was all good, the food, the kitties AND the rest, ha .
DeleteWeekends, fur babies and food make everything better I think.
ReplyDeleteDon't they though? Thank you!
DeleteGlad that you and the furs are able to get some rest.
ReplyDeleteYep, it was a nice day today, hard work Saturday (see Monday update) but Sunday really was a day of rest, ha

ReplyDeleteHello, and thank you for stopping by. Hoping you don't work too hard!
DeleteThe cats are adorable! And the breakfast looks delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you much. Love the snuggles and the food, ha
DeleteLove your post and my niece flew out of Tampa yesterday around 11am to the Midwest. So glad she is at her parents house now. She was lucky to get a last minute flight out of there. Phew.
ReplyDeleteThanks and so glad your niece got out. Looks like Tampa may have dodged the worst part but better to leave and not take any chances.
Deletedoes 2nd man let you snuggle like that? ;-)
ReplyDeleteOn occasion, LOL!!!!
DeleteBrisbane looks especially relaxed with his arm/leg hanging.
ReplyDeleteYour fur babies are adorable and looks like they really had a hard day of it. :}Animals are quite lucky not knowing what's all going on right now with all the devastation, but yet I do believe that they have a sense of something different has been happening.
ReplyDeleteAnimals, like babies and grown ups; all need a little cuddling / snuggle along with a hug every now and then and aren't they the best when sleeping. :}
Will be a long time before many get back to a regular routine again and my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected by the tradgedies that are going on right now. Absolutely heart breaking.
