Every Thursday we like to post a picture of something we've found online that inspires us to do something similar at the farm. Sort of our own blog bulletin board so that we can eventually look back and someday, hopefully anyway, recreate it...enjoy!
I've seen a lot of potting bench ideas but I really like this one. Not sure if it's the old sink, a great idea for potting soil, etc, or more importantly a little bit of shelter overhead. I know from personal experience via the last potting bench we had (the house in town) that standing in the direct sun is never fun. A bit of shade would be nice and this one is well done.

ReplyDeleteI do believe that the sink is an old cast iron one; nice but they are very heavy
I didn't think of that. Yeah, that probably is cast iron. but hey, any cool sink would work. A shade roof is what attracted me to this.

DeleteI really like this. The covering is definitely needed in our hot summers. You could probably find an old sink like this in a “junk-tique” shop.

ReplyDeleteIt's cool huh? I'm not sure how they use the sink, I guess a place to put soil etc (since there is no water hooked up to it). I love the color too.
DeleteOh that is cute indeed. I tend to take my pots over to our compost pile and just fill and plant from there. It's effective but oh so ugly.

DeleteI do love this design and look of it. I would put a translucent roof on it to give more light over the work area. I saw another design that was similar and it had a 5 gallon jug of water on the shelf which I might add.
