GOOD FOOD AND HOBART SUNDAY

 HOT.   No other words.

We had a nice pot roast...beef, potatoes, carrots, onions, celery and mushrooms...always filling and hearty and comforting.

And speaking of comfort...Hobart has a standing weekend request order that we put his quilt on the end of the dining room table and a chair at the end so he can get up and down.  He looks at the table, meows, and looks back at us and ends up sleeping there all weekend.  Because...

  2. That is comfort food 101. Hobart has you all trained very well as all good cats should do.

  3. The 80’s song “Hot Hot Hot” pops into my head during these 100 plus days. It could be the Theme Song of our summer lately. My persimmon tree had loads of green fruit on it before this horrendous heat. Now, it has shed almost all of it, even though I’m watering the tree.
Delicious looking roast and vegetables! One of my favorite meals. When I was a kid, we always had roast for Sunday dinner. Since my dad was a rice farmer, we had rice and gravy along with it.
Didn’t you say yesterday that 2nd Man made a cake?
Hobart sure has y’all trained well!

  5. I cat sit my son's cat (my grand cat) for five weeks, after they came home my son called and said this cat is spoiled, she thinks I need to get up every time she calls me. She just wants a snack or a small bit of feed. Not too much just a bite so it won't dry out and maybe in ten minutes I will need a little more. It is ok if I walk on the table, Gram said so. My son says this is not Gram's house, but they spoil her rotten in different ways also. she was born in Germany, lived in Dubai five years and then came to the us. She has her own passport.
