Things are budding out!
The new peach tree we got last Fall...
Blueberries are all in bloom...
One of the plum trees...
This is the sour orange tree (the other new one, Satsuma, hasn't bloomed out yet)...
And one of the pear trees!
One of these days/evenings, I need to get working on the fruit tree beds and clean them all up and add soil and mulch for the season before it gets to hot out there. I have to remind myself that we live here now, this doesn't have to be a few hours on a Saturday project once a week. I can do one or two a night when I get home from work. Or half on Saturday and the other half on Sunday. It's a whole new way of thinking/living, ha.
Happy Spring!
All of your buds and blooms are gorgeous. Spring has spring.
ReplyDeleteYes, with y’all living there now, you’ll be able to spend an hour or so gardening whenever you want.
Blossoms give you hope for a harvest ... may not be bountiful, but enough for the two of you if the critters don't get to them first!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great life you two gentlemen are building for yourselves!
You both now being on the farm all the time now; you will see new things happening each and every day; your 1st blooms on your fruit trees, new and more wildlife critters coming around, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe birds will have a feast once your fruit trees start having fruit. Now they do sell mesh bags to cover your fruit to keep the birds, as well as insects from pecking on the fruit and the bags can be used year after year.
Wishing you a good bounty from your trees.
Enjoy your day and have a wonderful, relaxed evening
