BOBCAT SIGHTING

Well, apparently it's a regular Animal Kingdom out here at the farm, ha.  The other morning I went outside from the back door of the garage and I saw movement.  When I realized what it was, I quickly went back inside and I took this picture.

Kind of hard to tell here, he/she ran back there and then looked at me looking at it...

Can you see it there by the fenceline running?  Let me zoom in...

Here it is.  A bobcat!  I wish I had a clearer picture but I was inside taking it through the window.  I did enhance it some so we could make out features.  Then I found a good comparison picture online...

Here is a better picture of what they look like!  You can't deny, what a beautiful animal.

2nd Man said no "here kitty kitty" with this one!

  1. Nice kitty, kitty. Hopefully you won't find it lying on your back or front porch.

The last thing that I bet you expected to see was this type of visitor on your birthday.
Bobcats won't attack humans, but it can happen if they feel threatened or cornered
n any way but yet is something to watch out for when you are out mowing or working around your fruit orchard. You just may have to start caring a club with you when working outside.

Happy Birthday 1st Man. You have an enjoyable day and have a blessed evening.

  2. I have a brown tabby cat who likes to jump at the chickens and scare them. So one day I hear the chickens fussing and go see a cat staring at them so I yell "Laurence, cut it out!" then notice a stubby tail flicking! Then it's immediate yelling for the dogs as I'm yelling and charging waving my arms at it! There have been bobcat grabbings of my bantam chickens over the years so if you plan on free range chickens it's something to think about.
