Four more years like the last four or time to close that chapter and begin a new one?
Yes, it's that time, time to exercise one of our most cherished rights, the right to vote.
2nd Man and I voted early, in fact on the first day early voting was open in Houston, we went to the Toyota Center (basketball arena) and voted there. It was quick and easy and felt so good when done.
There is no doubt that everyone in the country, indeed the world, knows how important this election is. Harris county (where Houston is) has shattered every voting record we have ever had. Turnout since early voting started has been unprecedented.
Like my Grandfather used to remind me, if you don't vote, you can't complain!
We don't discuss politics on here because this isn't the place, there are plenty of places online for that. We just want to remind folks that it is important to get out and vote, this year more than ever.
If you want to comment about the election in the comments, please be kind to one another.
we voted early too, by mail!

ReplyDeleteI voted by mail in ballot.
ReplyDeleteI voted early in person during the first week of Early Voting. I always early vote to make sure that my vote is "in the bank."
ReplyDeletePlease detail the second comment - it has no place on your blog. Roderick
ReplyDeleteThanks Roderick, done! Sometimes they slip thru. At least it wasn't porn advertising, ha. Thanks again!!!
DeleteI voted by mail and know that my ballot was received and will be counted. Favorite Young Man voted this morning and was in and out in a matter of minutes. I don't think I can take another four years of the same.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Got my ballot on Oct. 15th, filled it out and went and dropped it in the dropbox at the County offices the same day! Done and done and hoping for the best outcome ... Blue all the way!
ReplyDeleteSounds familiar! We also requested and rec'd our ballots by mail. Our township clerk lives less than a mile down our road and has a dropbox on her lawn, so we took it there. I still checked online a few days later to make sure they were noted as rec'd.
DeleteOur clerk's husband puts up our hay and loves to chide us about not being Republican and talks about it LOTS, so we know how SERIOUSLY Republican they are. I'm pretty sure we're the only folks who vote blue for many, many miles around. Farming communities are like that.
I voted by mail-had to ask for ballot on internet, then send in request for ballot by mail, then get it notarized, then mail. I only found out last Friday night that it was received and registered. I was sweating it out, afraid it would not count.
