WHEN THINGS LINE UP

I noticed this today after I was taking pictures of the garden area.  By pure chance, when we chose the location of the barn and shed earlier this year, at random, the garden gate lines up visually with the space between them...

Garden gate
...if we had tried to do this on purpose, it probably would not have worked out like this, ha.  The barn and shed, and space behind them, will be the future chicken yard site, fenced in of course.  But when we put a gate in between, we'll have to make sure to (try anyway) and line it up, visually, with this one.

Have you ever had something accidentally come out better than you could have planned?

It was a beautiful day, very cool, but alas VERY wet.  Mud and standing water everywhere (watch tomorrows post for something funny).  Even the garden area, where I stood to take this picture, was a muddy mess.  I was going to  use the weedeater a bit to get the grass down that's coming back, but there is such a thing as too wet.  It would have thrown mud and water all over everything else.  It's OK, maybe next weekend (no rain in the immediate forecast)!  Anyway, didn't get much done but everything was OK out there so that's good.

Open house is going on as this posts, keep sending good vibes!

  4. Wow - accidentally-perfect! You have a hidden talent!

Glad you got out to the Farm today and enjoyed the cool, sunny day - in spite of the squishy ground. But did you have to break out the Texas Mosquito Two-Step dance? All this rain sure brought out the little beasts.

Serendipity at its best with the way you lined those up...

  6. I do a much better job when I don't plan things. Sometimes things work well and sometimes not as good. I have this weird Christmas decoration planned and in my head it is stunning. Time will tell. If it looks like crap I will have a stupid looking foyer and a gozillion push pin holes in the ceiling

  7. Sounds like me - I like things "ordered" and symmetrical. Not very adventurous, but tidier in my mind ;)

    1. Tidy is a good way to describe. I waffle back and forth between liking things orderly and then random. Maybe there's a happy medium. For this I'm glad it worked like that. :-)

  8. Amazing!! I'd call that Kizmet. On a totally different subject, just had to try and chase a big snake out of the dog's kennel, he was tucked under all the blankets........big time scary. I hate those things!!!

    1. Kizmet!!! Another great description!!!

A snake? Yikes! And being in Australia was it one of the crazy deadly ones? Seems like Australia is home to the most deadly snakes....

      Be safe!

  9. Maybe, just maybe you should see about burying a St. Joseph in the front yard of your house. Google it and it will tell you just how it's done. Good luck with the selling!
