WHEN FRIENDS COME TO VISIT

Thought we'd share a couple of pics from last weekend (our one and only sunny  weekend apparently).

Artax the Horse
Whenever we do go to the farm this weekend, I'm sure we will be joined by these two friends.  Above is 2nd Family's horse, Artax coming over to our fence to see if I had any snacks say hello...and below is her best friend, the neighbor's cow who is named Mona.  She has been coming over to the fence line to visit with Artax since she was a calf.

Click HERE to see a post we had last year about their friendship.

Mona the Cow

Not sure we'll make it to the farm today though, sigh.  Here is this morning's radar image.  Rain, some of it heavy, all around the area.  It's another front moving through.  Tomorrow will be clear, so they say, but colder.  Since I ended up mowing last weekend, thank goodness, I still need to get the raised beds prepped for Winter (which, apparently, is coming soon!) and have some edging to do.  We'll see how much gets done.  No more goofing, time to get serious!  Now if only the weather would cooperate...sigh.

Hope you are off to a great start to your weekend!

My Gracie's favorite snacks are carrots, apples, bread and graham crackers. Oh, and peanuts in the shell.

It is 45 at almost 2:30 and the wind is roaring. Not naked weather outside!

Have a great weekend

Lovely. How is the house sale going?

I wish I had a cow across the fence to visit. I am quite terrified of cows unless there is a fence between us. Pretty cow and Very pretty horse.

Sunday morning:
Artax and Mona are such beautiful animals.
Woke up to 32 Deg. this morning. Sure glad we covered up our out door faucets yesterday. Also had some very strong winds yesterday morning which started around 6:15am and continued all day.

We have a cold front moving in as well, but over here that meant snow and so very cold. Boots & winter jackets are now out for the long haul.

And my kids would be tickled pink if we had neighbors like that. Who am I kidding...I'd probably stroll by that fence more often than they would ;)

Hi! Thanks for asking, alas, no offer yet...lots of lookers but we've had to drop the price a few times already. Sigh.

They are pretty (and kind of match, ha). I don't guess I've ever been afraid of cows but they are big animals, I can certainly understand.

Thanks....32, yep that's freezing officially huh? Our faucets are covered at the farm so I'm glad we did that. Wind makes it much colder for sure. Stay warm!!!

LOL, it's very tempting to stop and visit. I get distracted every time I'm out there when they are, ha. Snow? That's definitely cold. Keep warm and safe!!
