Another week has flown by.
It is so hot, but we're relaxing inside where it is cool and we are eating well.
2nd Man made pork medallions and gravy over rice. It's always so good. He browns the pork (tenderloins cut into pieces), removes them and makes a brown gravy in the pan and puts them back in...
...then it is served with rice. We put some gravy in the bottom of the dish, put the rice on top and then some of the pork and a little more gravy on top. Goodness in every bite. We had a salad on the side. So delicious.
Regular readers know that we are fans of Shark Week on Discovery Channel and of course it starts tonight.
You just never know where a shark might show up in a photo this week...
Speaking of, here is Hobart sleeping on the towels that I pulled out to get ready for laundry. He fell asleep and was not even phased by the Great White shark that was next to him. He can sleep through anything as long as we keep him comfortable because...

Your pork gravy over rice looks tasty ... I had Shrimp Pad Thai at the new Yummy Thai restaurant here in Canon City! So delicious!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love shrimp Pad Thai that's so good. Glad you found a good place for it. Hmmm....now I want that, ha.
DeleteI haven't eaten yet today. Your dish sure does looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteI do eat rice; just not much of it and don't have it very often. I do think I would prefer mine over noodles.
Hobart has the right idea. I'm ready for a nap myself. Was up early to get some things accomplished before it got too hot. Right now we are at 100 deg.
You both enjoy your evening & the races. Not able to watch the races here; only if they are televised on regular channel.
Stay cool & stay safe.
Noodles would be good. We do admit to loving rice though. We have it at least once a week. Good napping weather if you are inside where it's cool. Yeah NASCAR is on USA network now for the second 1/2 of the season. We do enjoy our cable so we have most of the channels, ha. Stay cool and we hope you had a nice dinner!!
DeleteDelicious plate of food! I love that combination. One of my favorites is roast, rice, and gravy - we had it nearly every Sunday after church during my childhood. My daddy grew rice and raised cattle, so we liked to support his products.
ReplyDeleteYay for Shark Week!
Watch out for that shark, Hobart! It’s after your tail!
Oh yes, so good with roast beef. Love that you had the ingredients that your father raised/worked with. Simple but comforting. We told Hobart to watch out for sharks but he's oblivious, ha.
DeleteI have developed a taste for brown rice although I grew up eating white rice. It sure looks delicious. I did not take a nap today and should have!
ReplyDeleteTake your nap when you feel you should, it's good for you. We don't have enough brown rice, need to get some. We do enjoy it. Just always seem to have white jasmine on hand. I'll have to get some brown rice sometime soon. Thanks, now go to bed! :-)
DeleteHa-Ha! Love the Shark week references!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We love shark week. Watch for several this week, ha.
