OK, so this isn't exactly a war poster, but it is an image of a vintage poster from France that concerns beekeeping, in keeping with the bee theme of this weekend. I've always loved the French word for honey, "miel", which is also the same in Spanish. For some reason though, to me that word sounds more French, ha. This is a pretty image though. It seems to incorporate all the 'proper' bee related graphics.
School yesterday was great Not as hands-on as I thought, but it was great nonetheless. More on that later. Off to get a few veggies from the garden center for planting at the farm.
This is gorgeous. The price of a half gallon of honey here just went from 18 dollars to almost 25 since the last time I bought it. ARRGGHHH !!!! When I told the Irishman, he sighed and said...guess we'd better get the hives back up. (There IS a silver lining, there is, there is !!! I've been trying to talk him into getting the hives back up since we moved here)
ReplyDeleteHoney has gone up lately hasn't it? Yay for you having hives, keep us posted!!!
DeleteYou must have been a bit disappointed with the level of involvement, or lack of, with the course but I'm sure you still learnt heaps. How exciting it will be doing it all for yourselves, without that previous experience. Just like pioneers, sort of. It will be fun!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely will be newbies (or is that newbees? LOL). I was ok with the classes, I learned so much more than I realized I would and that' a good thing.
Delete1st Man,
ReplyDeleteQuelle belle abeille poster !
Merci beaucoup!
DeleteVery nice poster! In Portuguese, the word for honey is "mel." This always makes a person named "Mel" seem sweet to me :)
