NATURES BOUQUET OF FLOWERS

I saw this clump of 'weeds' in an area of tall grass because the color caught my eye when I was walking past it.

Together, they formed the prettiest "natural bouquet' I've seen yet.  2nd Man said it looked like something a bride would be carrying down the aisle.

I agree, it was just beautiful to see in person.  I wanted to cut it and put it into a vase just like that but alas, we know how that would have ended.

Off to run "open house" errands in town, then Sunday will be off to the farm to see what I can get done out there.  Our weather today feels like the first real, true day of Fall.  It's GORGEOUS!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

    1. Sorry. Had to reply once again.
The flowery white blooms is Queen Anne's Lace; http://www.ediblewildfood.com/queen-annes-lace.aspx

The so called pretty lavender blooms...........wild potato Or Air Potato vine looks pretty, but very quickly it becomes invasive.
Do yourself and your neighbors a favor and declare war on it ASAP!. If not, it will take over.
Been dealing with it here for years now. Wraps around my irises, up the trees, fence line; just Everywhere.

    2. It's so weird that this worked for you, Practical Parsimony, just like normal but not for Colleen and then Colleen was able to it on another but not on this one. Sigh I don't know what is going on.

The white flower is edible? Really? I've never heard of air potato vine. Will check that out. I have seen it other spots. Didn't know about that. Thanks for the heads up!!

  3. Love that bouquet - though Queen Anne's Lace can cause quite a lot of allergies.

  5. What a gorgeous bouquet - from Nature's Flower Shop! It's great that you take the time to stop and "smell the roses" - and wildflowers - and enjoy all the beautiful Nature you have at your Farm. And then share it with us!

Isn't this early Fall slightly-cool weather wonderful?! I worked - and played - in my vegetable garden and even had supper on a bench by the garden. Lovely! :)

    1. I do like to do that. Some of my friends think I'm crazy to stop and find the beauty in things like that but hey, that's what life is all about right?

The weather was glorious. Of course now it's creeping up again!
