Anyone who has followed the blog for a bit knows that I have an obsession interest in towels and potholder with cool themes for the farm. I've found them with farm animals, farm objects, even gardening and canning references.
Farm towels and potholders |
2nd Man would probably say "how many do we need?" Well a couple here, a couple there, it's all good, right? I found these at Kroger, in their housewares department. I just couldn't resist the "cluck/oink/moo" theme. As an added bonus, they were 75% off so I bought two towels and two potholders (which adds "baa" to the farm sounds, ha) for the regular price of one.
Storage bench |
We have the perfect space for them. This bench is in the kitchen, I blogged about it a couple of years ago when we got it. It's completely sealed tight around the base and the top lid is so heavy it is mouse proof. It's where we keep all the towels and linens for the kitchen.
And best of all? We still have room for more, ha!
Good for U. A person can never have 2 many kitchen towels, hot pads, etc.
ReplyDeleteI must say; you do find the coolest items. Those are adorable and very farm fitting.
Thanks, I tell 2nd Man the same thing. Besides, he's going to be the one with the most use of them, ha. Thanks!!!
Delete75% 0ff + room for more = celebration! I love those. They are display worthy.
ReplyDeleteI keep stained-from-canning towels and potholders in the wbc so I won't ruin all my pretty ones. And, since that is metal with a lid, mice cannot get in there, either.
It's a win win, right? Ha!! Yep, it's been mouse proof (knock on wood) for all this time so far.
DeleteAccording to my theory of shopping you made money of this transaction. 50% off means you bought it with the money you saved. The additional 25% off is profit. With mad math skills like this I should be serving in Congress!
ReplyDeleteWhile I question the math, I really like it. :-D
DeleteLOL I love it Anne, I need to show this to 2nd Man, ha. I don't question the math 'cause I'm no good at math, hated it in school, hate it now, LOL!
DeleteIt has been my experience that you can never have enough tea towels or pot holders. It is vitally important to be able to have variety in ones tea towels. LOL. Any reason is a good reason. Right?
ReplyDeleteThere you go! I'll take whatever reason necessary. ;-)
DeleteWhen I find fabulous items on sale, I can buy for me and for a gift of gifts. I could buy for a giveaway on my blog. hint hint
ReplyDeleteI would have gotten some for a giveaway (did that one on the canning towels) but alas I bought the last two of each they had. But that does remind me it's time for.a giveaway. We need to work on that.
DeleteYou always find the best things! - and at great prices. A kitchen cannot have too many kitchen towels, especially during canning season.
ReplyDeleteI have serious envy for that beautiful storage bench!
There you go, that's the best way of looking at it I think. And that bench we found at a garage sale a couple of years ago. It's very heavy and sturdy and just fits so well under the window to sit on if needed and bonus, storage! :-)
Delete1st Man,
ReplyDeleteAdorable towels and hot pads! I always say you can never have enough kitchen linens :-)
Another vote for can never have too many, ha.
DeleteOh I love that bench!!! It's so "cottagey"!!! And I'm the same with those dishes that look like food. Alex asked me how many garlic-shaped garlic dishes one really needs...I said, well, there is a lot of garlic out there lol...I have a potato, a mushroom...I'm searching for a pumpkin soup terrine now! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, don't get me started on dishes. I like bowls and find all sorts of bowl sets. We actually had to cull some when we sold the house in town. I like the aide of food shaped dishes, hmm, I'll have to keep an eye out "for research" of course, ha.
DeleteYou're lucky to buy such nice things that were 75% off!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend!
Thank you, I love a bargain, ha.
