It's a gloomy day in the Houston area.
2nd Man has a terrible toothache, but we're making the best of things. We opted out of a full turkey dinner but we're making a homemade turkey pot pie. That counts, right?

awwwww, poor 2nd man! OF COURSE turkey pot pie counts! spouse and I had sushi for lunch; that counts too!

ReplyDeleteKeep some tea tree oil in your medicine cabinet and, using a q-tip, rub some on both the aching tooth and surrounding gum. It should lessen the ache or stop the pain altogether! It absolutely works and you can get tea tree oil at Walmart or any drug store!
ReplyDeleteAlso, clove oil. It's AMAZING in how it works. Should be a staple in your medicine cabinet too. I think it's antibacterial and a natural anesthetic (I think that's the word?). And pot pie is wonderful when it's homemade.
DeleteOf course it counts. Spending the day with loved ones and old and new friends is what the day is for. My small family and I had beef roast.
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving is what you make of it. It's really a day of thanks by the Pilgrims after their long journey to America. That's what it's all about. Somewhere along the line it was made into a decadent feast and a day of family squabbles and crazed shopping. It's sad how we have changed something so solemn into an eating and shopping frenzy mess.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter what you have on the table to eat during the holidays, your pot pie sounds wonderful. Shoot, one year all hubby wanted was burger & fries so that is what we had; quick, easy and hardly no cleanup.
Spending the time with friends and/or loved ones is what it's all about. Even tho some of the stores opened up later in the afternoon; I refuse to go shopping. Years ago Nothing was open on the holidays. Everything was completely shut down and closed for the whole day
2nd man; sure hope you're doing better.

All my Christmas cards have been addressed and sent so now I can concentrate on making a few craft projects.

Clove oil is supposed to work. I don't know if tea tree oil works for a toothache, but its use does grow boobies on guys. Check it out. We had a hen. It lasted three meals, 6 sandwiches and there is enough for two more sandwiches, on for each of us after church tomorrow. Whatever you eat is up to you.
