hijacking the blog again to edit with an update (see previous post for the original) he is still in ICU but feels much better. He gets out of breath easily but that’s to be expected with the stents until his heart adapts to the extra blood flow. He may be able to come home today in the best case, or they may keep them one more day in a regular room instead of ICU, but all of his numbers look good. His blood pressure is low. His heart rate is still elevated so they’re trying to work on that, but the stents seem to be doing their job and we are blessed. The doctor told us again yesterday that he doesn’t know how he still alive. We know none of you really know us personally, you know us through the blog, but with first man what you read is what you get. He’s one of the kindest friendliest most generous people I’ve ever met and honestly.the world would be a slightly lesser place without him in it and we’re thankful we’ve got him for another 30 years at least.
2nd Man, Thank you for keeping us updated. So glad 1st Man is doing better. Will continue to keep you both in my prayers.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the update on 1st Man.. He's very fortunate. He's lucky he has you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. Hijack any time! (with 1st Man's permission, of course ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the good news.
ReplyDeleteI have a recommendation for you guys. My guy had quadruple bypass surgery over 15 years ago. He says that one of the best things he did after the event was cardiac rehab. It lets you find your limits and removes some of the fear of doing too much so you won’t hurt yourself. Hope that helps. ❤️

I've been thinking of you. There are blogs I've followed forever and now and then one will go dark and I wonder what happened and I miss that person as much as a real life friend. Prayers for both of you.
ReplyDeleteThat is good news! Will you please get a heart checkup.. Seeing how Second man had NO SYMPTOMS is frightening..
ReplyDeleteHave been reading the blog for quite a while. Glad to hear he is doing better. Continued prayers and good thoughts for both of you. So glad he got the help he needed in time. And special thanks for all the advances in medicine. Take care and hope he can come home soon.
ReplyDeleteGood news! Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks for this positive update! I think the outcome would have been different if you two fellas had been at the farm when this happened! Thank God you weren't there!
ReplyDeleteHis BP may be a bit elevated simply because he is in the hospital.
First Man would be missed by everyone!
Hugs to you both!!
Thank you for the update, wonderful news indeed !
ReplyDeleteHopefully the 1st man will be well enough to return home to you and sweet Hobart.
Continued healing thoughts and prayers sent your way.

Thank you for the updates. Prayers ongoing, and we are thankful for your taking the time for all of us, too! I can say for myself and I am sure many others, that the connection we have means a lot!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the updates. Will continue to send prayers for you both!! I'm sure he'll be happy to be home soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat good news! Wishing 1st man a smooth recovery and the patience to deal with any needed life changes that could be temporary or permanent
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your update, too. Thanks!
Hugs!
2nd Man,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. I believe you to be every bit as kind and generous as he is. After the first update, I was musing that his being alone at the farm could have proved a worst outcome possible. All that blood now able to get through the heart is a very good thing even if it makes him dizzy. I am grateful to medical advances that keep a good friend here with you and the readers here.
Glad he is doing better. Thank you for updating us.
ReplyDeleteI worked in a heart hospital lab in El Paso. It's best that he stays even for one more day. They need to monitor the low Bp and get the heart beating at a proper slower rate. Is he walking yet? If he can walk without getting light headed and too winded then yeah, if I was family I would ask for him to come home.
ReplyDeleteHave been worried and praying for you both. Thank you for update. We are your blog family and truly care.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. Ii think you both are very kind and caring people. Big hugs to you both.
ReplyDeleteThanks ever so much for the positive update. May 1st Man's recovery be complete and uneventful. Take care of yourself, 1st Man, and Hobart.
ReplyDeleteApplauding the good news. And yes, keep him around for 30 more years though I won't be here that long!
ReplyDeleteGrateful to hear this good news.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this positive update. I continue to hold you both in my heart.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update, 2nd Man. So glad that 1st Man is recovering well. That was a close call! Continuing prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, Second Man. So glad it's good news. Hope you will take a few minutes to give yourself a break---I know from experience what you've been going through. Take good care of yourself so you can take good care of First Man.
ReplyDelete2nd Man; Thank You for the update. Both in our thoughts and prayers
