How dare 2nd Man post without photos lol! That’s half the fun! Well, you know we don’t often post face pics but I figured I owed you all a glimpse at this mug as proof of life ha.
This is me, mere moments ago, not my best look, but hey, beats the alternative right? I’m still in my ICU room, waiting on 2nd Man to get to the hospital. They won’t discharge me until they see the Plavix prescription in my hand for safety reasons. I guess they wanna make sure I’m going home with it because she said I’m gonna have to take that for the rest of my life most likely, but otherwise I feel good. I still get a little out of breath when I move a lot, but I’ve also been more or less in bed since Thursday.
I can’t tell you how much all of your comments mean to us. So many times we posts up on the blog and I know we don’t always get a lot of comments because not everybody feels the need to comment on every little thing, heck I’m the same way on other blogs myself, but I always look at them and it warms my heart to know that everyone still looks at the blog and still checks in regularly, and again, that means a lot.
My life will change a bit now, new diet, exercise more, careful what I do the next month or so, will be lite work and thank goodness it’s not Zen machine season. I’ll be off work this week and then the next week I’ll be working from home because he doesn’t want to clear me to drive for a couple of weeks. So, I’ll be blog posting a bit here and there but might not be Farm related because I’m not out there to take pictures. It might be more just personal stuff to let you know how I’m feeling, so keep checking in. I’m still here, y’all aren’t getting rid of me that easily lol.
We love all of you so very much you mean the world to us thank you!
Oh my just catching up. So sorry with what you are going thru, glad you had help and be sure to follow doctor’s orders. Deb
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to finally see your "Mug Shot" ... So glad you are on the mend and, yes, a new diet is definitely a must!
ReplyDelete2nd in Command, being a chef, will continue to take great care of you!
3rd in Command, Hobart, is probably wondering what the heck is going on! He might let you even pet him as you explain the situation to him!
Gentle hugs from Colorado!
Yay !! You are looking remarkably well considering all that you have been through, and quite dapper in your hospital gown :)
ReplyDeleteHoping you get to return home, sooner than later, and as you already know, you are so very fortunate to have come through the other side of this ordeal.
Take things slow and easy, and we'll be here when you feel better.
Hugs,
~Jo
So glad to see your smiling face and to know you are doing well. And big thanks to 2nd Man for the updates he made until you felt well enough to check in.
ReplyDeleteYou look well for all you have been through. Take it easy and rest. So glad you are doing better. I am guilty of reading the blog and not posting, However, when I saw the post from second man; I just had to post. Hope you go home soon and can snuggle with Hobart. : )
ReplyDeleteLoving the proof of live photo/post! Hoping you're home with 2nd Man & Hobart by the time you read this. Best wishes to you all!
ReplyDeleteSO grateful you are doing so well and a big Thank You for the pic and update!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you won't be leaving without the drugs. You look good for someone that almost died. This is for 2nd man, take care of yourself too. I know it's easy to forget about yourself when making sure the one you love is healthy and happy. Just don't forget about your health too. Also you should write a blog too.
ReplyDeleteYou've been in our thoughts and prayers. So grateful everything turned out the way it did and especially to wonderful 2nd Man for keeping us in the loop. You're looking pretty damn good for all the wires and bells and whistles connected to you right now. Big hugs to you all. Looking forward to your recovery and posts to come. X
ReplyDeletelooking fine! you should call yourself Lucky Man now after your Escape. I hope you continue to recover. I hope your partner look carefully at his health, too. take care
ReplyDeletei'm with leanne...you look far from dead...yay!!! good god you scared the crap out of me. did they tell you why this happened? did you feel weird before this event, as in, did you have any idea this was coming? maybe for exercise you ditch the zen machine and get the scythe out, but then you might look too much like the grim reaper. don't get me started, haha. i am just so glad you are semi upright and communicating. you both need to take care of each other now. i am sure 2nd man is going to have a bit of PTSD from all of this. big hugs to you both...joyce
ReplyDeleteI'm a lurker, not a poster but I am happy to see you looking so well. You have more fans out here in the world than you know. Happy Holidays to you and 2nd man and Hobart. xo
ReplyDeleteI also have not commented before this event but am a faithful reader.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best on your recovery.
Linda from Alabama
ReplyDeleteSo great to see you smiling! Hope you are able to bust out of there soon. I'll bet Hobart has missed you!
I have rarely posted but I never miss reading your posts. I have been concerned about you and have sent up prayers for you. I will continue to do that. So good to be able to put a face to all the posts. Thank 2nd man for keeping us updated. I'm sure Hobart is missing you and will be glad when you are back home. Diet and other lifestyle changes are key. Take care of you and don't be concerned about getting everything done. Take care of you, get healthy and strong and take life easy.
ReplyDeleteI've been visiting your blog almost daily for years but never commented until 2nd man gave us the news. Have always enjoyed the blog and it's so nice to have a face to identify with (now a pic of 2nd man would be nice). I know he will take care of you and vice versa. Hope you both have a joyous Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see your smiling face! Hang in there, follow doctor's orders, and we will all be watching your posts to see how things change, and how they remain the same...best wishes from me!
ReplyDeleteYou look great. I know you'll follow doctor's orders.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I am so very glad that you feel well enough to post. Look after yourself. Please.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a huge scare for everyone. I’m so glad you got medical care in time. Please don’t rush getting out of the hospital. It’s good to see that smile on your face - I think it’s your “happy to be alive” smile. We’re all glad about that too.
ReplyDeleteI read all your posts and rarely comment. I am grateful to whoever is in charge that you are doing well after the event.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see the Mug Shot to know you're still with us! I lost one of my favorite Bloggers already this month & was totally shocked to see The Other Guy posting in your stead!! Really happy to see you looking so well. Look after yourself - I'll be checking in!
ReplyDeleteRest, rest and rest. Wishing you all the best. Rest some more. Your body is an incredible machine. Your new zen machine? Rarely comment but visit every week. 2nd man, you need to rest too!
ReplyDeleteKJ
Well, look at you! So glad to see your face...and what a kind face you have. Like some of the others, I check in with you fellas every day (no kidding...I really do!) but seldom comment. But I really love you guys and I always tell my husband about your adventures and especially about Hobart. Anyway, others here have said it better, but I sure am glad you are doing okay, and I know that Second Man will see to it that you follow the doctors' orders. God bless you First Man, Second Man, and Hobart.
ReplyDeleteI was going through blogs I follow this evening and just found out about your heart attacks. Oh my, it is an eye opening event. I've been through it with family members. Listen to your doctors, rest, don't overdo, and most of all listen to the best medicine you have, 2nd man. Keeping you in my prayers. Long time follower, Galestorm
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Glad to see this proof of life. I know you will follow all the doctor's directions. Since I am on a low- no- sodium regimen, it has gotten easier to follow. It is good you were not at the farm when this happened. Hobart must miss you.
ReplyDeleteHappy to know you are going to be ok with some rest and meds. Please do what the dr and 2nd man tell you. We all love you and want you ready to pick some of that fruit from your trees by summer. I know you will be ready to go but wait until you get the ok before doing anything. Feed yourself and pet the cat should be enough exercise for a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteSuch a relief to see you looking so good. Yours is an amazing story. Looking forward to many, many, many more years of your blog posts.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see that wonderful 'mug shot' of yours. you look great considering what all you went through.
ReplyDeleteMy 1st thought that went through my mind after 2nd Man gave us noticed in what had happened,; was thank God that this didn't happen at the farm by yourself or happening behind the wheel. Thank God He was / is watching over you.
Do think about getting yourself a Medical Alert button.
Thoughts and prayers along with Well Wishes for a speedy recovery.
I'm sure that Hobart will be very happy to see you when you get home.
Do Take care

ReplyDeleteAs a regular reader I feel as if you and 2nd man are part of the family. Very happy to see your smiling face. Take it easy when you first get home, it's tempting to approach recovery with great enthusiasm but steady as you go is gentler on you. Don't be surprised if you and 2nd man have some emotional wobbles, you've been through a lot.
ReplyDeleteMostly a lurker here. So glad you are doing well!
ReplyDeleteAfter worrying about you all weekend I got up my courage to log in and there was my reward...your lovely smile! So happy to see it. I have followed you with interest for ages but like others never commented. Many good wishes from Megan across the Pond in Wales.X
