When I was at the farm the other day, I grabbed my tool bag when I was heading out and saw this little lady trying to hitch a ride...
Ladybug |
I've never seen one in the middle of Winter. Of course we've had some unseasonably warm temperatures recently, but recently we were in the 30's.
Still, it's a great reminder that Spring will be here before we know it.
Ladybug, Ladybug, fly away home!*
* but please come back in the Spring and bring your friends!
And find a nice Manbug, so you can bring back lots of little Babybugs in the spring!
ReplyDeleteLOL! True. Ladybugs are SO good for the garden. They eat aphids don't they?? I think some of the nurseries here in town sell them too for a limited amount of time each Spring. Of course I'd release them and they'd all fly off to someone else's garden, ha.
DeleteThe evidence, the ladybug......proof Spring is near!
ReplyDeleteI hope so! Though I'll take another month or two of cool (no freezing), just not ready for hot yet, ha.
DeleteSpring will be here before we know it - music to my ears.
ReplyDeleteAhh, won't it be? I don't want our blistering summer but Spring is welcome. :-)
DeleteHope your Dad is doing better!
My house has ladybugs inside the house pretty much year round, although there are more in the spring. This morning it's 20 degrees here, and there was one little lady crawling around on a lamp shade.
ReplyDeleteReally??? Wow, I had no idea, just seems I never see them in winter here. I know why your ladybug was on the lamp if it was 20 outside, ha. Stay warm yourself!!
DeleteLet's hope it was a sign of SPRING!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too!!!
