TODAY IS THE DAY

Today is the day, finally getting the fruit trees in the raised beds.  So excited!  There is rain in the forecast this afternoon.  My time might be rushed but at least it should be pretty easy.  It's not like the holes will be hard to dig...just spread the soil back, fluff the roots, put the trees in and push the soil back around them.

I'm also going to go ahead and get a few herbs for the herb bed.  Next weekend will be the rest of the garden planting (we'll be down in the 40's for lows this week, still a bit too early for veggies).

We'll see how it goes!

  1. You have a lot of back breaking work cut out for you today . Sounds like an all day job. Hopefully you will get them all planted before the rains move in.
I went out early this morning and got my 3 large planters stained. (remember; the ones I sent you picture of) They look so much better. Now, I just have to get them moved to new location.
Have a great day and don't work too hard

  4. Purrfect timing. I find with any plantings but particularly trees, good rain afterwards is good insurance. Watch your back.

  6. I cannot wait to see the pictures of the planted trees. I need to get out my seeds and germinate them in the little pellets with those put in sandwich bags.

Yet another project to check off your list.
I'm excited for both you and 2nd Man. In time you'll have fruit to harvest for canning or eating.
